Visit Hull and East Yorkshire for the 2nd year running asked us to develop their ‘Freedom Festival’ campaign. The festival takes place across a weekend at the beginning of September to commemorate the late William Wilberforce who was a leader of the movement to abolish the slave trade.
The festival included a variety of activities across both days that include a selection of music festival at the harbour which included pop and jazz acts, local arts and culture.
What we did
We created the festival newsletters that were sent out to residents, signage, banners and posters which were all visible in Hull City Centre. Overall it brought nearly 100,000 people into the City Centre over the weekend.
