Visit Hull&East Yorkshire (VHEY), a newly created Destination Management Organisation, was looking for a strong consumer and corporate brand identity to underpin its marketing activities throughout a three year business plan, with a target of growing regional tourism spend by 5%. The brief later expanded to include Hull & East Yorkshire Conferences and the creation of offline collateral and websites.

What we did

In collaboration with VHEY, england created powerful and flexible identities to be used across the DMO’s work in promoting the region: ‘Real Colour, Real Lives, Real Yorkshire’ for the consumer market and ‘VHEY!’ and HEY! respectively for the DMO itself and its conference marketing arm.

england also planned and designed several hardcopy guides for individual visitors, groups and those looking for conference venues, as well as designing and building branded websites.The new brand identities and collateral were all designed to reflect the essence of the modern Hull and East Yorkshire region in a consistent way, featuring bespoke, high quality photography directed by england.

This activity was backed up by a marketing campaign to promote VHEY’s new identity
